CPFU President Kevin Saunders and Secretary/Treasurer Liam O’Brien present DEEP Officer Jordan Jacquo with two awards for his life-saving efforts in June 2023.

On November 13, 2023, CPFU President Kevin Saunders and Secretary/Treasurer Liam O’Brien presented DEEP Conservation Enforcement Officer Jordan Jacquo with two awards for saving a man’s life this past summer.

The first award presented was a Certificate of Appreciation from President Sam Cabral of the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA, AFL-CIO). The award recognized Jacquo’s heroic efforts back in June 2023, citing that Officer Jacquo’s quick thinking and skilled, swift response undoubtedly saved a life.

The second award was an Official Citation from the Connecticut General Assembly.  Senator Catherine A. Osten of the 19th District nominated Officer Jacquo for his efforts to administer life saving aide at the site of a motorcycle crash on June 3, 2023. The citation went on to state that Jacquo’s commitment to the safety of the citizens of Connecticut is a true inspiration.
