INTERNATIONAL UNION OF POLICE ASSOCIATIONS AFL-CIO
THE ONLY UNION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
Every January 9th since 2015, citizens across the United States show their support for Law Enforcement on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) In today’s political climate, Law Enforcement Officers so rarely have the appreciation they deserve. That is why L.E.A.D. is such an important day to offer our recognition for our brave men and women whom daily sacrifice and dedicate themselves to the critical task of keeping us safe.
I write to you today in order to express my own gratitude and appreciation as well as that of the International Union of Police Associations, for your choice of a career that is both difficult and noble as well as your unwavering service to our communities. We all should also take a moment to acknowledge and honor our brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect us. We will honor each of our true American Heroes during our annual National Police Week in May.
I urge all who read this, to reach out and share how much all of us appreciate Law Enforcement Officers by writing letters and sharing on social media.
Thank you for your service!
Sam A. Cabral
International President
