On Wednesday, March 28, 2007, PSEC member Debra Booker of the UConn Police Department was recognized by the UConn Women’s Center with the 7th Annual Women of Color Award. Officer Booker, a 13-year veteran of the department, was honored for her compassion, dedication to her community, and work with victims and organizations on campus.
Debra spent the first 12 ½ years of her career at the Storrs campus and has recently transferred to the Hartford Branch of UCPD. Officer Booker has nurtured extremely positive relationships with students, staff, and faculty at UConn and is well deserving of this award. Please join us in congratulating Officer Booker!
